Every day, leaders experience the uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable.
Vulnerability is never weakness. It is always courageous.
Vulnerability is also the birthplace of creativity and innovation, authenticity, adaptability and accountability – the key elements that every business needs to survive and thrive.
How is vulnerability perceived in your organisation?
- What’s the collective tolerance for discomfort? Is the discomfort of learning, trying new things, giving and receiving feedback normalised or is there a high premium put on comfort?
- What happens when someone fails, disappoints or makes a mistake?
- Do people feel safe and supported talking about how they feel and asking for what they need?
What is the Daring Way™?
The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.
During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us towards more authentic and wholehearted living.
The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
Practicing the Daring Way™ enables one to…
Identify the arena in your professional life where you are called to dare greatly
Develop courage and reframe vulnerability as the birthplace of love, belonging, connection, creativity, innovation, accountability and authenticity
Understand how shame operates in trying to derail you from showing up, being seen and living brave™
Reality-check messages of scarcity, comparison and criticism
Cultivate and experience empathy and self-compassion
Embrace the power of your own life story
